Answers about Migraven's comparison rules, evidence, product boundaries and evaluation process.

PRODUCT SCOPE

What Migraven checks.

Does Migraven migrate or transform data?

No. It compares source and target exports after a migration or test run. It does not move, transform or load records.

Which input formats are supported?

The C17 engine supports CSV and flat-object JSONL. Nested JSON arrays and objects are not supported. The browser demonstration currently accepts CSV only.

Can it connect directly to an ERP, CRM or database?

No. The current workflow uses exported files. Database connectors and direct integrations are not part of the current product.

Can we compare every field?

The operator selects up to 32 fields per C17 engine run. Each selected field is checked independently against one required unique key.

Does it normalize dates, numbers, currencies or whitespace?

No. Migraven uses exact string equality. Values such as 10 and 10.0 are different. Any required normalization must be agreed and performed upstream.

INTERPRETATION & EVIDENCE

What the results mean.

Does PASS mean the migration is correct?

No. PASS means the selected field values matched exactly for paired keys. It says nothing about unselected fields, extraction completeness, relationships, transformation logic or business meaning.

What does a one-sided key mean?

It means the key appeared in only one input. That is an observation, not proof of a missing-record defect. Investigate extraction scope, timing, mapping and source completeness.

Does the SHA-256 manifest prove who created the report?

No. The manifest is unsigned. It records hashes and byte sizes so changes can be detected relative to that manifest, but it does not establish author identity or prevent replacement of both the manifest and files.

Is Migraven certified or independently security-audited?

No certification or independent security assessment is claimed. Teams must assess the tool against their own security, procurement and operational requirements.

Are files uploaded to a Migraven server?

The documented CLI workflow runs locally. The website demo also processes selected CSV files in the browser and does not upload them. No hosted customer-data service is currently offered.

EVALUATION & COMMERCIAL TERMS

Before a paid engagement.

What does the initial evaluation include?

One source/target dataset pair, one agreed unique key, up to three critical fields, JSON results, an offline HTML report, a SHA-256 manifest and a short findings note.

Can we send production data for a first test?

Start with synthetic or appropriately de-identified exports. Real-data processing requires written authorization and agreed transfer, access, retention and deletion controls. Do not send confidential files through informal channels.

Is there a public price or active subscription?

No validated public price, checkout or published commercial licence exists yet. Scope, fee, delivery date, payment route and licence terms must be agreed in writing before work starts.

Does an evaluation certify our migration?

No. Acceptance confirms delivery of the agreed comparison artifacts. It does not certify migration correctness, completeness or regulatory compliance.
